About the role

As the Payroll Assistant, you will assist in all aspects of payroll ranging from setting up new staff into our payroll systems, processing payroll runs and periodic AUS & NZ payroll reconciliations.

• Assist in wage processing for all fortnightly and monthly staff payroll run, and maintenance of all payroll records. Ensure data integrity for accuracy and processes conducted within company policies.
• Assist in Tanda system and ensure alignment with rates in MicrOpay system.
• Ensure all rates stated in our payroll system adheres to legislations and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of payroll leave liabilities.
• Assist with payroll tax - preparation and reconciliations.
• Assist with NZ end of month payroll reconciliation.
• Assist year end payroll reconciliations for AUS and NZ.

About you 

• 6+ months experience in payroll or human resources administration.
• Passionate about numbers, compliance and doing the right thing.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of retail industry (advantageous).
